Brittany Hoganson- Hospital Director

Brittany was born and raised in the heart of the Silicon Valley, San Jose, California. In 2011, she would make the move to the capitol to pursue and complete a degree in Public Relations from California State University – Sacramento.

To help fund her education, Brittany started working for a company called Bose Corporation, a luxury audio retailer. Over the next 6 years, Bose subtly instilled innovation, teamwork, and excellence into her as core principles for both work and life. It would also inspire a desire to be a part of only the best of the best. After graduating from CSUS, Brittany joined another luxury powerhouse, Tiffany & Company. As if taken from the scene of a movie, Brittany met and fell in love with her now husband, Shane, within the very romantic walls of, yes, Tiffany & Company.

In 2016, Brittany made a transition to Target Corporation as an Executive Team Leader. It was this role that opened her eyes to what made her truly happy in her work life – watching and being a part of growth. Whether it was building a team, training a new manager or improving a poor performing department, Brittany loved watching things become better than what they once were. In a leap of faith, she made the transition from the world of retail operations to veterinary medicine when she joined Vista by Ethos in November 2017. She hasn’t looked back!

Ali McNamara, RVT- Hospital Services Manager

Ali was born and raised in the small mountain town Placerville, California. The love of animals started at a very young age for her. If it wasn’t the cats and dogs at mom’s house, it was the macaw, amazon, rabbits, or fish at dad’s house; and they all needed attention! The interests of animals and tending to them came from her dad, and by age 16 Ali started working as a kennel assistant in a small animal practice. By 19 years old she had started her path towards becoming a registered veterinary technician. In the summer of 2010 Ali graduated from Carrington College California, with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology, and soon after started working as a dental technician in small animal medicine. Over the years she has expanded her career including teaching as a faculty instructor at Carrington College for the Veterinary Technician Program. In 2014, the interest of specialty medicine was sparked, and she started her path as an emergency and critical care technician.

In 2017, Ali was working as a hospital supervisor at a 24-hour emergency practice but was presented with a once in a life time opportunity, and her and her partner decided to travel abroad for a year. During that year she spent time in Chiang Mai, Thailand working on a conservation for injured and rescued elephants. After six months in South East Asia, their trip landed them in South American where they studied the Spanish Language in Colombia. In May of 2018, Ali returned to the United States and has now taken on the role of hospital services manager here at Vista Veterinary Specialists. Not only is patient care where her heart lies but being an advocate for the technician community is of an extreme importance to her as well. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, practicing her Spanish, pilates, being outside, and most of all, the warm and cozy snuggles of her English Bulldog, Winnie, and crazy blue-eyed cat Duckie.
