Dr. Ashley Walker earned her board certification in veterinary cardiology in 2024 following completion of her residency at UC Davis. Dr. Walker also received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis, followed by a rotating internship at North Carolina State University. She is a Sacramento native and is excited to join the team at Vista, returning to her hometown. 

Dr. Walker enjoys all aspects of veterinary cardiology, but has specific passions in Boxer cardiomyopathy, feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, canine dilated cardiomyopathy, and the diagnosis of congenital disease. She understands how difficult caring for a furry loved one with a chronic disease can be, and strives to help guide people and their pets through this process while providing excellent medical care. 

When Dr. Walker isn’t treating her patients, she can be found hiking with her dog and husband, doing yoga, and enjoying all the amazing cuisine in Sacramento.
