About

Dr. Cassandra Kortick grew up in the Sacramento area and obtained her undergraduate degree from UC Davis. Upon graduating, she worked as a veterinary nurse in emergency medicine and cardiology in the San Francisco Bay Area. She then attended Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine for her Master of Science degree and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She then pursued further training by completing a 1-year small animal rotating internship at Veterinary Specialty Hospital Sorrento Valley in San Diego, CA.

Dr. Kortick has a special work interest in cardiac emergencies, wound management, and trauma.

In her free time, Dr. Kortick enjoys spending time in the outdoors and enjoys traveling with her partner. They have two orange tabby cats and an old english sheepdog that keeps them busy.
