About
Dr. Kaoru Tsuruta graduated from the veterinary school at the Osaka Prefecture University in Japan, obtaining her veterinary degree. After working at various veterinary clinics including a zoo and an emergency hospital, she made a momentous decision to move to the United States to advance her career. She received the Master of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Missouri and spent time there as a research specialist in a veterinary nutritional laboratory and as a teaching assistant. She completed an emergency and critical care specialty internship at Lakeshore Veterinary Specialist in Glendale, WI, and a residency in small animal emergency and critical care at Avets in Monroeville, PA.
Her professional interest includes, but are not limited to, respiratory emergencies, coagulopathy, and CPR.
When she is not at work, Dr. Tsuruta enjoys playing tennis, gym workouts, biking, and cooking. She is also excited about living in the west coast for the first time and exploring the area.
