About

Dr. Kato originally grew up in Orange County, CA before attending U.C. Berkeley to complete her undergraduate degree. After college, she worked as a veterinary nurse for several years in both general practice and at an emergency clinic. It was during this time she developed a passion for emergency and critical care. After graduating from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, she completed a one year rotating internship with a focus on emergency and critical care medicine at the Pet Emergency and Specialty Center in San Diego. She continued to work there as an emergency clinician before moving to the Sacramento area. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and pets.
